Magnus Carlsen, a well-known Norwegian grandmaster, is recognized as one of the all-time great chess players.
Magnus Carlsen first took the top spot in 2010 and has retained it ever since. 2013 saw Carlsen defeat Viswanathan Anand to claim the chess world title. Since then, Carlsen has repeatedly successfully defended his crown.

In Tnsberg, Vestfold, Norway, on November 30, 1990, Sven Magnus En Carlsen was born. Engineers by trade, Sigrun En and Henrik Albert Carlsen are his parents.
He first began to demonstrate his academic prowess when he was just a child. He began putting together Lego sets intended for much older children at the age of four and was able to do 50-piece jigsaw puzzles on his own by the age of two.
By winning games five, six, and nine and drawing the other games, Carlsen prevailed to win the championship 612-312. As a result, he was crowned the new world chess champion, becoming the second-youngest player (after Kasparov) to do so.
